There was a pleasant surprise when our athletes met our Olympic medalist, Caster Semenya at the event.

Our College long distance swimmers participated in two mile swims at the start of the Easter holidays.

The Southern Cross College Open Day took place on Saturday 12 March.

On Tuesday 1 March our Grade 11s & 12s traveled to Tzaneen to watch a live production of Coriolanus, a tragedy by William Shakespeare.

Our College inter-house swimming competition took place on Wednesday 24 February.

The Grade 11 committee presented a beautifully decorated Earth Circle for the Valentine’s Social on Friday 19 February.

The Small Schools Inter-high, hosted by our College took place on Thursday 11 February.

Our College athletes traveled to Polokwane to compete in the Limpopo Independent Schools Inter-high on Tuesday 2 January.

On Friday 29 January the College held a formal assembly to welcome the new Grade 8s into the school as fully fledged members of the College family.

In a wonderful afternoon of athletics Harrier House eventually ran out overall winners of the event. House captains Alex Giles and Kevin Braun received the trophy from our guests of hounour Mrs Nicki and Mr Dave Giles.

The Southern Cross College (SCC) Grade 12 Class of 2015 made sure that it is five years in a row achieving a 100% pass rate in the National Senior Certificate (Matric) examinations.

Our Wild Shots pilot group spent last Friday afternoon in Zandspruit Bush and Aero Estate and last Saturday morning in the Balule Game Reserve on a photographic safari.

Our one Grade 11 ECAL class was treated to an amazing game drive in Balule Game Reserve this past week.

Our College production "African Dream" was performed in the school's Earth Circle on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October.

Our Grade 9s were spoilt with some superb game-viewing on their trip to Manyeleti on Friday 23 October.

The Blood Lions filmmakers showed the powerful documentary to our College learners first thing on Wednesday 14 October.

Our College held the annual Awards Evening on Friday 9 October in the Earth Circle under the magnificent African sky.

On Wednesday 16 September our College voted for their 2016 Crux Leaders.

A very excited group of Southern Cross learners recently arrived back from the return leg of a reciprocal exchange with the Dutch school Lyceum Oudehoven.
