Where strangers become family
Given its bush location, Southern Cross has a unique boarding facility which offers learners a very special boarding experience and a home away from home where “strangers become family”.
The philosophy and ethos of the Boarding House, is to create an environment that is akin to a ‘home from home’ atmosphere. It is vital that the boarders are comfortable, secure and feel completely at home in these environs. There are ‘duty parents’ who oversee the welfare of each boarder and to whom they can turn in a time of need. Someone who will listen to individuals, guide them and if necessary advise or console them should the occasion arise.
The boarding houses which are located in beautiful Lowveld Bush are like none other in the country. All boarding facilities are beautiful thatch buildings, set in the natural bushveld, with fantastic views of the surrounding bush and the magnificent Northern Drakensberg in the distance. Their location within a secure estate ensures we provide a safe stimulating living and learning environment for our boarders.
